StoryDream ("we", "our", "us") is operated by GKS Yazilim Hizmetleri Limited Sirketi. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your email address and name from the provider.

Guest Mode: You may use the app as a guest without providing any personal information. In this case, we generate a random identifier (UUID v4) that is stored locally on your device. This identifier is not derived from your hardware, IMEI, or any device-specific information — it is a randomly generated string used solely to associate your guest stories with your device. The guest identifier is never used for advertising, tracking across apps, or building user profiles.

Child Information: Your child's name, age, and selected interests are used solely to generate personalized stories. This information is stored only on your device and is never sent to our analytics systems or shared with third parties.

Generated Content: Stories, illustrations, and audio files created for you are stored on our servers to enable access across sessions. For guest users, stories are associated with the random device identifier described above.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g., feature usage, app crashes) to improve the app. This data does not include any child-identifiable information. The guest device identifier is not linked to or included in analytics data.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

StoryDream is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

• Child names and ages are stored locally on the parent's device only
• We never send child information to analytics services
• We never share child information with third parties
• Story content is generated using AI with strict child-safety filters
• The guest device identifier is a random UUID — it is not derived from any hardware identifier and cannot be used to identify a child. It does not constitute persistent personal information under COPPA

4. AI-Generated Content

Stories, illustrations, and audio narration are generated by artificial intelligence. While we apply safety filters and content moderation, AI-generated content may occasionally contain imperfections. We continuously monitor and improve our content safety systems.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Cloud Platform: Story and asset storage
• AI Providers: Story text, illustration, and audio generation
• RevenueCat: Subscription management
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not share child-identifiable data with any of these services.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers within the European Union. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and industry-standard security practices. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device.

7. Data Retention

• Registered users: Stories are retained until you delete them or delete your account. Account data is deleted upon account deletion request.
• Guest users: Guest stories stored on our servers are automatically deleted after 180 days of inactivity (no app usage with that device identifier). The guest device identifier is removed from our servers upon deletion.
• Guest-to-account migration: When a guest user signs in with Google or Apple, any stories previously created as a guest are automatically transferred to the new account. After migration, the guest device identifier is deleted from our servers, and stories are associated solely with your authenticated account.
• Cached assets (images, audio) may be retained for up to 1 year for performance

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in app settings)
• Request a copy of your data
• Opt out of analytics

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
